Edward Dunn is Hamilton’s Senior of the Year.
Dunn has played a key role in fostering opportunities for young local athletes to compete around the world for Hamilton.
He was a leading organizer of the 2000 Millennium International Children’s Games and continues to volunteer in the field.
For nearly 20 years, Dunn has also served as chair of the Good Shepherd’s Harvest Dinner Committee, which organizes the event that raises money for the less fortunate.
He also helps organize marriage preparation courses at St. Margaret Mary Parish and offers his time with other charitable causes.
Dunn was among 30 nominees celebrated in nine award categories for their volunteer contributions during the 21st annual seniors’ awards at Michelangelo’s on Tuesday night.
